H1B Transfer approved but, have another offer

I had an offer from company B and got my H1B transfer done and approved. Before, I quit my current company A to join B got an opportunity to interview with my dream company C. I attended and got an offer from C after I quit A. Can I move from A to C and not join B? I know, it is not ethical to quit B but, I heard a lot from people that B work culture is not great and C work culture is best in industry. What are your thoughts?💭 CTC - 197k YOE - 7

Join B. In the meantime, start h1b transfer process with C. Join C when the transfer gets through. Life is too short man. There is no right or wrong in business when money is on the line.

I don’t want to quit B in a month 😞, I feel that it is, even more not ethical than above. C is assuring me to join them instead of B

At my last job, a guy joined us and stayed for a week before leaving for google for way more tc than what we offered. He was in the exact same situation as you. No fucks were given and that guy is balling in google now.

Everyone knows what is A. What's harm in naming B and C. You will get more relevant comments.

I dont agree, tech employees have too many options and companies are ready to poach from each other. It's not specific to h1b. It's more specific to tech

Snapchat rThn06 Jun 27, 2019

Moreover it's at will employment. They will let u go if they want to, without any notice. Technically OP can leave on day 1. But the would be worse for the company to leave in a week or a month. Company would not get any value from OP and spend money and waste their time more that they already have. It's better to renege

Yes, as long as you are in 60 days grace period after your former company withdrawals your h1b. But I would recommend consulting a lawyer

Asurion qwerty25@ OP Jun 27, 2019

My former company didn’t withdraw my H1B! Yes, I m in 60 days period

You can join company C even on receipt notice because now that u have quit A, no point in waiting for approval

Asurion qwerty25@ OP Jun 27, 2019

Yes, I plan to join C on receipt now!

And what happens God forbid, transfer to C doesn't go through? You will be in middle of nowhere. Either delay your joining date at B, or join but jump ship when transfer to C comes through. DO NOT take the risk of joining C on mere receipt.

Does the current company not matter in H1B transfer...only the joining company? How did you initiate transfer..from A to C?

AppDynamics wbBH48 Jul 2, 2019

There is no "transfer" happening from one company to another. The new potential employer applies for a H-1B for OP and since the OP had gone through the lottery once s/he is exempt from the annual H-1B cap.

Op whats the verdict? What are you going to do?

This is OP’s friend. He deleted his app by mistake. He didn’t join B, and he is joining C directly. His new H1B transfer is done and approved

@Op I am on the exact same situation. Did you hear back from the attorney?
