I had my H1B extended recently. Wanted to get my Visa stamped with the new petition dates but didn't want to go all the way to India to get the stamping. Has anyone gotten the stamping done in Canada? Do they do drop boxes or interview is a must? Can this be done in Vancouver? How long to get back the passport after the stamping?
I am also planning to do that this year. What’s the process - get the Canada visa, then book the stamping appointment date? I see that getting the Canada visa requires me to tell them in the form the hotel info and travel dates. But I cannot book the stamping date if I don’t have Canada visa right? So how does this work?
Hi I have the same question. What did you end up doing?
Any updates?
Simple process
Did it in Canada twice. Got the passport once in 4 days and another in 3 days. It was fairly smooth. Interview is a must I believe. Only problem is you need to wait for the passport in Canada with no fixed timelines
I did my interview yesterday and the status still says 'administrative processing'. How long does it usually take to change status?
2-4 days depending on the center
