I just accepted a job offer and company started this immigration process saying they will first prepare H1b and O1 paperwork before proceeding for GC. I am likely to get better offer and might like to reject this offer. If I give my details for visa paperwork, would I be able to switch employers say now or after one year. Should i just wait for one months and do not complete the paper work. Thanks!
What if they ask me to pay back this immigration paperwork cost. Though the offer letter only says that sign on and relocation need to be returned if leaving before 12 months. Thanks!
But remember that if you want to switch with an O1, the new company will have to apply for a new O1. In general, I would caution against have a company do all this legal work, the the visa and then bounce. Why not just decline the current offer and have the new company where you intend to stay do your visa application? They will have to do it anyway...
Then you are gold. You answered your own question, they can only ask you to oay back if it is written in the offer letter.
You can switch whenever u want. How difficult it is for people to understand?
