H1b RFE Google, will offer be retracted if it takes too long?
I applied for H1b transfer for a google WSE role, and was just notified of the RFE today. I’m not sure how long it will take to get this through, as immigration policies are getting harsher. Still waiting for the details. It’s been already a month and half since I accepted the offer. I’m wondering if google retracts your offer when it takes too long? And in the case that a denial happens, what are my options? Any advice will be appreciated. I rejected another good offer for this one, really want to plan it well. Background: non-CS undergraduate degree from top 20 US university; two years of work experience as a software engineer
Mine took like 2 months to clear and my company did not retract my offer. I’m very grateful
What’s your SOC code? Did they give a reason for the RFE?
These days rfe are common and unpredictable. My spouse filed for amendment in last nov, got rfe in may, responded to rfe in 2 days , still waiting on updates !

Hey I’ve got the letter. It’s asking relation between my mech eng degree and the position. I was asked to fill out a job chart. They are sending it for third party eval now. Haven’t submitted a response yet.
Have you heard back from the lawyers yet? What’s their strategy?
