H1b extension - premium processing risks

Hi all, I am about to make a move to another company. However, right now, I have my h1b extension under process under normal processing. I inquired my attorneys about the possibility of applying for premium processing for my extension. They came back and told me that of late, they're seeing a number of RFEs for extensions under premium processing and recommended me not to go for it. Considering that I still need to apply for h1b transfer (again under premium processing) after my extension approval, should I take the risk of premium processing for my extension? Also, is it possible to apply for both extension and transfer in parallel under premium processing? Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Are they really seeing more RFE for premium than without premium? Or just more RFE in general?

You are right. That's what I heard from my friends. But rfe, in general, has gone up.

Well one of the big risks is an American losing her job to a foreigner.. So I'd say that's a big risk for her

Fair point, I'm no one to judge that though.

Upgraded my petition to premium and got an RFE right away. But received approval after responding to the RFE. So itโ€™s risky but it would be much faster ~ 4 weeks maximum (2 weeks initial process +2 weeks for RFE response)
