In 60 days grace period. Job offer in last week of grace period.. Valid i94 till next year. Anyone in/has been in similar situation? Tc 325k
Background check is 2-3 weeks max. Even with RFE it won't take 60 days if it's expedited
Bruh this is the last week of grace period.
Pip at Amazon? Can you go back to your country and come back after the transfer is successful?
Lawyer up my friend. ICE maybe closing in.
What's the big deal? Worst case you'll be out of status for a little while. They'll usually ignore it, but worst case you'll take a trip to your home country and come back. Btw the job market is pretty good for SWEs. Why did you wait till the last week?
If USCIS receives the petition before the 60 day grace period is over, then you're safe. If they don't, then the lawyer can request a nunc pro tunc. If the nunc pro tunc is denied, the petition will still be approved on its merits but the extension will be denied. So you have to leave the country and come back in order to start work.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
You seem good. What’s the worry?
Company says background verification and h1b transfer will take couple of weeks and I will be out of 60 days validity by that time.
Not sure about RFE situation. But once you have electronic receipt you will be securely in status.
