- Microsoft / Eng Lazy<T>That will also be removed. Needs to be removed. It’s unfair to local labor that spouse of an immigrant also taps into the job market.
- What makes you a mediocre American feel so entitled to have companies to hire only American workers? We H1B visa holders are so entitled because we have higher education, make more money than average Americans and therefore are offered positions that no American workers can fill, period! If H1B is cut, the tech companies are simply going yo move jobs oversea
- Lol, you’re missing the point. You think you run the show with your mediocre degree and a 6 figure salary. Did your higher education not teach you to pay attention? I said I’m an outsider myself. And I’m not so arrogant to call any American mediocre. Talk about fucking generalizing, what if I said everyone of you H1B were uncivilized bunch of slumdog shits?
Also - how is your sense of entitlement related to tech companies willing to move? If they move, the talent will move with it. But why do you have to cry about immigration policies on a constant basis? Your arrogance is the reason why people like trump and his base have brought the society to its hateful worst. Just be humble, do your job and stop being a menace wherever you go.
- New / Eng GalcoderThis is uncalled for - slumdog stuff but to answer your question I think at the end of the day it is all about businesses doing what they think is best for them. Neither are they willing to spend all that money on immigration lawyers or having to go through this hassle had they all the employees they need without filing for all these visas nor would people on h1 go through pain staking wait periods and uncertainty had they not seen better opportunities here. As far as h4 is concerned I have mixed feelings. I think a person who comes on h4 is aware that it is a dependent visa which means they may or may not have authority to work since the visa itself says you are dependent on someone who is primary visa holder but it may be good for the economy since most of the h4 visa holders are in a good tax bracket and contribute well to the economy. Keep in mind h4 are not hired to replace any jobs but only if businesses are absolutely desperate to hire as they cannot find anyone else. I think people who complain about visa holders have no idea that businesses don’t hire visa holders unless it is absolutely necessary. They would understand if they had their own business.Jul 21, 2018 2
