Hi everyone! I completed an on-site for a non-eng role (sales strategy/specialist) earlier this week and the recruiter called me the next day to tell me that I was a front runner for the position and wanted my TC expectations for the HC packet. The thing is, we’ve never discussed TC and they never shared a range so I have no idea what to expect. From my “research” on blind/Glassdoor/paysa, the below seems to be inline with an L3 role at MTV. I don’t want to shoot myself in the door by asking for too much or too little. I’ll also be relocating from the east coast. Base - 115k RSU - 100k (vested over 4 years, not really sure what to ask for here) Bonus - 15% My YOE - 4 I’m also waiting to hear back from FB - had overall positive feedback from them and am expecting some good news next week.
1 million dollars. Firm.
Did they say "TC or GTFO"?
Make RSU 200k
Ask for tree fiddy son.
To ask is illegal in California now.
They asked for comp expectations. That isn't illegal. Only asking for current comp
Salary is very low
California employers have to provide the range for jobs if you ask. So ask. The RSU is too low
Great! Thanks! I reached out to the recruiter to ask about the range. Fingers crossed
OP, any update?
Yup! Range from recruiter was: Base - 105k Rsu - 100k Bonus - 15 Bit lower than expected!
That's a new grad offer... 4 yoe should be 200 at the minimum

Nothing bad will happen by asking for too much. Do yourself a favor and ask for "too much"
