You are a data oriented company and do lots of stuff with data. Is it a good idea for your company to put you on HVD and give you a thin client that uses VMware Horizon Client to connect? Tell me what you think.
No, not doing product survey. Trying to see if my company is making the right decision putting data intensive groups on HVD which is slow and much like satellite tv vs cable.
Latency shouldn't be an issue but the performance of the hypervisor makes a huge difference. Im currently using RDP and cant even tell the difference.
It would depend on what lots of data means and what stuff means. Moving petabytes of data out of the data center to desktops for analysis doesn’t make much sense, for example.
