What people use these days to prepare for Hardware Engineer interview? I mean compare to like leetcode for sw, is there something similar available for hw? Targeting for companies like MS, Amazon, Apple, Google, Nvidia is even better when you answer your thought.
Because that's Google. I wouldn't be surprised if they even ask that for janitor position.
well, all modern hardware is using code. unless you interview at linear technology or Maxim or Texas instruments where it's pure analog. then it's purely circuit based questions
Agreed for coding but what you use for practice/preparation like leetcode or hackerrank?
there's a sweet game on steam that teaches you hardware protocol coding and assembly. shenzen io
My interview at google for HW was only based on HW and no coding question.
Did they give you an offer? I got rejected at the phone interview stage itself.
Yes they did.
I've been asked a lot about safety. Make sure you mention watchdogs if safety comes up.
Initial phone screen with Amazon for Senior RF HW Position: I had to solve a signal integrity issue on a clock signal, explain how to design a low profile switching power supply, and how to do impedance matching during layout for 2.4GHz BLE. Then they asked their Leadership Questions.
At Google they asked me to code and asked algorithmic questions for a hardware chip design position ๐
