Has Uber become a better place for Women to work?
Friend(not on blind) has an offer and is thinking of starting a family sometime next year. Should she switch or stay put? She’s also concerned that she was hired for diversity and not merit. Valid?

They probably changed the curtains and cleaned the windows.
There’s a lot of excellent people at Uber. I work with many groups that were primarily the cause of alarm for the allegations. The orgs almost completely new. Those who were around at the time are the ones who are most passionate about never letting it become what it once was. If she has serious concerns I would highly recommend getting her in touch with some of our LadyEng or Parents of Uber ERG’s to learn firsthand. :)

Things have changed for good. New CEO, new HR, new rules. She is gonna love working Uber, the challenges and problems to solve are awesome.
