I am looking for 30k-50k personal loan and i have excellent credit score. I did little bit research and found these companies as best
1. SoFi
2. Citizens bank
3. Patelco

Also, could you share your personal loan amount with APR?

Try a credit union. Also look into Marcus.

But seriously, you work for Amazon, why not just pay off the home country loan from your savings or with your next RSU vesting?

Actually I thought about selling RSUs to pay off the loan. But as amazon stocks are growing more than 6% per year it makes sense to take personal loan than selling the stocks.

That's equivalent to taking a loan to buy stock. That's not a recommended strategy, especially when an Amazon crash would also take away your income.

Amazon could grow over 6%, but it could also drop by 50% or more. Did yoy take a look at the P/E ratio? It's not looking good.

      Every single time this.

The next correction will be exacerbated by people who have grown complacent about the continuous upward trajectory of stocks.

The best I’ve seen is 6%, though I’ve never taken one.

If you don’t mind me asking, what will you be using it for? Debt consolidation?

I have loan back in home country which is with APR 14%. I am thinking of taking loan here to pay off the loan in my home country.

Why not? I can take loan as debt consolidation.

If you have a stock portfolio, you can take a loan against your assets. I do this with my investment account with Merrill. Rate is under 4%.

Loan with Merrill. And best of all doesn’t appear on your credit report since it is considered a private loan.

Typically works when you have your money managed by a financial advisor. See link for more info: https://www.ml.com/solutions/lma-account.html. When I had my money at Morgan Stanley, it was called a Portfolio Loan account, also under 4% and collateralized by my stocks. Also, doesn’t show on credit report.

LightStream by SunTrust offers 5.49% APR if you select autopay. No origination fee or prepayment penalty and the rate is fixed for three years.

Lower rates are available using other solutions but personal loans offer unsecured debt without collateral and a fixed rate. Make sure to consider these factors along with the rate.

Have you considered a balance transfer with 3% upfront and then no interest for 12-18 months? Also, if you own a home, you can get HELOC Loan. It’s always risky when you leverage stocks for gains and pay interest to settle debt. My 2 cents!
