Has anyone here gone through 10x Club?

Hi just looking to see if there is anyone out there that has gone through 10x Club (https://www.appacademy.io/10x-club). I was accepted into the program and am trying to decide between doing it, Outco, or Interview Kickstart.

Seems like the pros of each are: Outco has more reviews and is more established, Interview Kickstart is very technically focused, and 10x Club offers an employment guarantee at one of their partner companies or 120k compensation.

Since 10x Club is relatively new I have not found any reviews. Their guarantee plus the backing from App Academy makes it the most tempting option for me though. So if anyone has gone through or knows someone who has, that would be a great help in making this decision!

    Outco is founded by coding bootcamp graduates with zero work nor interviewing experience.

      True but they seem pretty good at what they do

      Outco gives T-shirt’s to students who leave positive reviews.

      Garbage in garbage out? Do you have any proof to back up that statement? Have either of you actually gone through or know anyone who has done outco?

  • I went for kickstart program after I looked at others' curriculum.

    Both outco and 10x are like cs101. I did not need that, as I have a few years of experience.

    If you have the time and guts to go through kickstart, then there is nothing like it. I wish I had done their program sooner.

    10x club doesn't look like anything more than junior year in CS major, might as well do leetcode for 4 weeks that's free

      How about their algorithms course? It was pitched to me as something engineers used for interview prep

      10x = 4k

      Outco = 5k

      Interview Kickstart = 3.9k

      Hmm Kickstart quoted me like 5.5k earlier, but could only borderline understand their accents so I balked. Hope the others are better in that regard.

    Do you really think you need a crash course for interview prep ? It's not like someone can teach you data structures and algorithms in 4 weeks. They might go over basics and examples but I would think that you still need to put in time to solve questions on your own to be better at them.

      Well, the same could be said for ACT/SAT test prep. Believe it or not, it works.

    ** I wish I had known what I am going to post when I was thinking to put so much money in IK program, so posting here (and at few more forums/posts) for others, hoping it helps atleast one person ****

    If you give your best, below two courses are more than sufficient to prepare you for next programming interview ( I believe give much better understanding than what IK promising ). And all this comes in fraction of cost. I paid for these courses and learning a lot. So I am telling you from first hand experience.
    1. udemy: master the coding interview from andrei neagoie
    (Nice overview of questions , negotiations, process etc )
    2. Coursera : ds and algo specialization from university of California San Diego
    (Practice coding questions in exactly same manner as professor teaching, and you will be good to go)

    3. Heapclub also looks good if you are in Bay Area

    The money that you save by not buying IK services, you can use to buy yourself time and use that time to practice coding interviews.

    Hope it helps!

    Jacks - do u think medium level questions of leetcode would be good for Facebook ?
    And also I only know python - I'm guessing that shouldn't be a problem at least for the interview

      Watch tech talks on YouTube .. learn hashing well .. consistent hashing .. data replication stuff, long polling , sql vs no sql db.. for advanced you can go for master election algo.. don’t forget to talk about how your design can scale .. horizontal vs vertical.. points of failures..

    I read myself and did leetcode. You need to practice a lot. No Boot Camp can help.
