I have got an RFE for my H1-B application. the questions raised is “provide evidence that the proposed technical position is sophisticated/complex/specialized enough to warrant at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a technical field”. Note that this is for a program manager role. would love to learn from anyone is or was in a similar situation.
What is your education background?
Do the needful.
if it makes you feel any better, i got the same RFE for “Software Engineer” with Amazon where USCIS was asking why a bachelors degree is needed for that position. I have both masters and bachelors in computer science.
Sounds like only highly technical candidates qualify for H1B so long as the job role also matches your higher education in that role’s field. If you’re a masters in CS, how is that related to your role exactly?
Good point. Will pay attention to drawing connections between the job description and educational background
I m a machine learning pgm, had exact same rfe, got a 16 page expert letter outlining why a masters degree needed to perform my ml job (ms in data science) let alone a bachelors
