Received an offer from Hashicorp Base: $160K RSU: 10,000 stocks. 1 year cliff, quarterly vesting afterwards Sign On: $15K This is for a PM role, 100% remote. This is crucial for me so I can travel all the time. Current TC: $180K YOE: 5 Also, would like to know about 409A valuation since recruiters refuse to give it to me. DM me if you dont want to share publicly
Learnt about 409a today. Btw, base looks a bit low.
Demand the recruiter tell you. Them saying 10000 shares, but not telling you what they worth is stupid. Say you need to know the valuation or your not accepting.
If a recruiter won't tell you what the RSUs are worth, you should value them at $0 and ask for an increase in salary to make up the difference. Ask for $250k/year or more in cash for this reason
Base is only low for the bay area. If you're traveling full time that's a perfectly fine offer. Obviously, try to maximize your financial compensation, but you don't need to join in the rat race like the rest of us.
Sent you a PM OP
They are obligated to tell you wtf lol
How so?
dm me
If you don’t mind sharing, what’s your compensation breakdown. I could also dm you
I hear they pay more for SF Bay Area vs other. Do you mind sharing which of those you are?

If it’s RSU, it should have a value associated with it already. What’s that?
Recruiter isn’t telling me...
