Have you faced racism ?
In the last 5years i have only faced a minor racist incident. I've stayed in the East and West coast. My question to other fellow immigrants, have you faced racism ? Could you share what happened ? Is racism as prevalent as media portrays ?
Black American here! I was called malloo or kalloo don't remember. Can this be called racism? lol
Yep. Definitely racism. A lot of indians have double standards w.r.t this

I do get a random yell of “go back to your country” every couple of years. But its very rare

I hate the fact that fellow Asians are so passive that people walk all over them. I have to frequently fight for what is right, because Asians are not supposed to push back or ask for their rights. Grow a backbone already.

Yes. I’m black and 2nd gen immigrant. I have white progressives and black nationalist democrats constantly trying to shit on me and they’re bewildered as to how I can have right wing thoughts while having black skin. I used to lean left, and supported Obama in his first term, but all racism I experienced came from POC so I became a conservative and a republican.
Typically people’s political affiliations are based on evaluations of the parties policies. Sounds like yours are based on emotional knee-jerk reactions.
Exactly. Republicans are the party that stands against racism. Therefore I am a republican.
Someone once told me to 'go back to my country'. I told her that I would stay just to spite her. She looked really pissed 😂

Yeah, been told go back to your country. Went to lunch with teammates and seen them called racist terms for Mexicans
At work: “We in America...” In the street: “Fuck H1Bs, go back to your country”. I was a permanent resident at the time.
Only one - went into a car shop in New York and the owner assumed I did not speak English and started talking to me in a very disparaging way before I could even open my mouth . Told him I would take my $s to some other place because of his rude attitude and he apologized ( but I still left :) ) .
