It seems like staffing agencies (Aerotek) will not only refuse to negotiate offers, but they also revoke the offer. Wondering if others have similar experience, or if people even bother.
Yes, it's possible and I've seen it done, but offer still declined due to lack of transparency (unknown profit margin) among many reasons.
Yes, every time. When they hit me with a low number, i give them my minimum and tell them it’s not a good fit. If they were lowballing you, they’ll come back with another offer. Never should you accept their first offer. They are just trying to get the biggest cut off your check.
I work in staffing. Usually clients give a specific bill rate which allows little flexibility when it comes to negotiating a pay rate after the fact. None the less tell you’re recruiter what you need and he/she should do their best to align an opportunity that will pay you what you’re worth.

Lost respect for Modiji
Why do I need someone to negotiate on my behalf?
It's more of how to navigate the terrain given you are forced to use them
Most of the time you should circumnavigate them. In my final interview with the HM and HR, he expressed regret that they saw the resume and didn't act on it until the recruiter did and had legal rights. Always apply on the careers page! Those MF'ers are manipulative
