We fought over something trivial and one thing led to another. We haven’t talked in 10yrs, we live in different countries. I am in US she is in Australia. Recently I have started to miss her, i get flashes of all the good time we spent together as kids and teens. I even had a couple of dreams where we were together. Our lives are very different now, we both are married and have kids. Not sure how to restart the relationship, what would I say to her.
Call her. She must be missing you too.
All relationships strive on memories. Remember the time you spent together as children. Give her a call today
I was in a very similar situation. Didn’t talk to my sister for 5 years. My parents forced me to go to her home one day which I VERY reluctantly did after lot of persuading by my parents. U know I am glad I did that. Put ur ego a side. Don’t think twice, give her a call or visit her, at the end it doesn’t matter who initiated it and what happened in the past
Haven't you been thru a time where you disliked something what your coworker/boss said. Did you stop talking to those guys. Because you can't do that. Your professional career is at stake. Same way, why cant you do the same to your closed ones . At least they care for us a lot more. You are going to regret these 10 years of isolation period at some point of time in your life. Don't prolong this period .
Just talk to her, say hi, I miss you
Just call. Act like nothing happened and say you miss her and want to know how she is doing and how her kids are.
Pick up the phone.
Thanks for all thr comments ... I hope to talk to her soon. Unfortunately I don’t have her phone# or address, but I will try to find out
Did this miscommunication happen after your marriage? If you are an Indian guy, I won't be surprised your wife has a role to play here. I bet you and your wife would be in great terms with your wife's siblings. Just to keep in context about the statement of yours that you are not aware about your sister's whereabouts, just shows how much you have been poisoned against here. No-one can do this better than a spouse.
You got it all wrong. It was before we got married. My wife has always been motivating me to talk to her.
