Speaking as someone in the market for a leadership role, it's been a mix of following up on job listings and connecting with the (usually) headhunter that posted the role. I've also had a couple in house/retained search executive recruiters contact me directly.
Wouldnโt be headhunters if they get hunted by heads ๐
