So I have this colleague who is very senior and I'm not really sure what value he brings to the organization or really society in general but he gets paid a lot. I'm not saying he's a bad guy like beats his wife, in fact sometimes he's ok to work with but I don't understand why he's so stupid? And why is he so high up the ladder? I don't want to berate him but stupid??? I'm not sure I guess I can let it go and focus on my own life and problems and think about my promotion velocity but wait a minute who is this guy and why is he getting paid so much? Every time I talk to him I want to pay him to stop talking? Maybe that's why they pay him? But wait don't get me wrong I don't want him to get fired he seems like a nice guy but Omg what value is he adding and what about all that money??? Help?
Wow you sound so ignorant, I had a phone interview with a recent grad. Asked him how would rate his Sql ability. He said he was a pro , I then asked him about what a join was and was so lost. You probably have a bad sense of people's value or overestimate your own.
What are you saying I'm just a lowly guy struggling in the lower ranks but can't I at least criticize the higher ups if they are not adding any visible productivity??? Must it be my fault??
He’s been doing this longer than you. Life isn’t fair. But perhaps he’s better than you at other technical problem spaces and this current role isn’t where he shines. Put in your dues and forget about how much John or Sally is making. Be a good team player and focus on your own value. Sheesh....
There are people like that in every organization. Sometimes they are dumb as bricks but make a lot of sales for some reason.

Democrats: Support Tax on Unrealized Gains?
My advice: Realize you live on earth, which is an unfair place. Then also realize you have it really good, relatively speaking. Gonna go work on taking my own advice now. :)
