Out if any company, surprised to see Reddit crippled their mobile site to force everyone to download their app. I guess business people are in control of Reddit now Soon you will become Yelp.

I use reddit less now
Reddit is so annoying to push everyone to use their app. Reminds me of Yelp. If I'm using a browser, it's because I want to. I don't want to install your app every time I load a page. Now I don't even want to visit your website.
Their app keeps asking me if I enjoy the experience...no. why does it ask like every week?
Because they want to know when you change your mind
Reddit has dropped from around the 4th most popular site to the 18th since mid year when they purged a bunch of conservative subreddits. They are not driven by excellence alone.
I hate, hate, hate downloading apps. If it doesn't work in the browser, I don't use it.
I think Reddit is pivoting from a community of communities and switching to be a more general social network with social groups. Eliminating hate and dissenting opinions is just a way to get some of Facebook's fleeing users.
Still works for me?
I have been using the old mobile site (ends in /.compact) for ages because I prefer the layout and recently it has been logging me out at random. Super annoying and I use their site less because of it.
You’re surprised a company throttled it’s quality in order to get you to use its expanded services? Welcome to the internet. User experience is only important to growing companies. After that they focus on expanding their services over the existing base to further track and monitor them.
