How did they get those jobs and what are their qualifications?
Subcontract software engineers. You know those annoying staffing agencies that bug on LinkedIn? They can negotiate some incredibly high rates for temporary software engineer, especially with niche skills/domain knowledge. It’s a risk/reward thing though. The first sign of budget problems, we cut them first.
I was offered $165/hour for a finance role. Not that high compared to legal or tech but decent enough.
