Recently watched Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly on Netflix. I’m impressed by his energy. Do people in tech like hip hop music? Who’s your favorite? If you don’t, do you have any perception towards it and coworkers who like it?
Yes but Travis Scott sucks ass
Doesn’t feel like most coworkers like it. Checkout Nav, Juice wrld, lil mosey, yung pinch, meek mill, future, gunna
K-pop, weeb music > hip-hop*, EDM * except lofi hiphop radio - beats to study / relax to
Love hip hop. Some coworkers are into it but I don’t think most are. It’s also very generational.
I too watched that series..bit emotional and dont know how much is true and how much is fake..
The extent of liking hip hop is bordering on cultural appropriation
Before people scream “get outta here with pc bullshit”... It depends on whether you use the N word as a non black person, and use hip hop as your defense when people call you out Enjoy the music but don’t be weird
If you don’t use the word then you’re taking a work of art and appropriating it and that’s terrible. If you use the word then you’re a racist. If you don’t listen to hip hop then you’re an elitist and a racist. Please proceed accordingly
Hip hop has a huge misogyny problem - no artist can be successful without denigrating women / objectifying and hyper-sexualizing then. It’s bleeding into Pop as a result of Hip Hop’s mainstream popularity. I say this as an OG (I remember exactly where I was when Tupac got shot). EDM doesn’t have as severe of an issue w women.
Everyone likes hip hop, but not everyone realizes they like hip hop
Black / Thrash / Death Metal or go home.
GTFO with that hip hop sh!t, edm is the the one true genre 🤣
Lmao ... edm = heard 1 song then you’ve heard almost all of them
EDM is shit
