Hiring Manager at Amazon was falling aslep

Just had my onsite interview at Amazon today and the Hiring Manager (last of 5 interviews) was falling asleep on me. Dont think i was overly boring. it gotten so bad he repeated the same question twice alnost. Luckily, maybe, there was a younger employee with him who he was shadowing. I think although the other interviewes went well, this one may really hurt my chances. What should i do? does it make sense to bring it up with them, or with the coordinater? Or ces-la-vie?

No, leave it. S/He's was probably shattered I've been there many times. He will rely on the younger employee, you'd hope. If you get unfairly rejected there's nothing you can do. The coordinator will always take the hiring managers side.

Not the response I had hoped for but the one I expected... I will wait and see, will be getting an answer soon but would not really know how they would come up with the decision anyways. Thanks for the feedback, needed to vent... and yes, C’est-la-vie :)

Now the younger employee who shadowed learned that you are supposed to sleep while interviewing 😂

Best life lesson about the randomness element that goes into the hiring process

Means the team you are going into has shitty wlb.. he is so stressed and sleeping in interviews. This is the best sign you can get.

The other PMs reporting to the HM were pretty awake, maybe he is just such a hard working guy taking care of the team staying up late so they don’t have to 😅
