yes. my wells fargo agent closed 750k loan in less than 20 days
Absolutely do not use Wells Fargo. They will tell you they are ready to close, but then take several weeks longer because they didn't even start on the paperwork. I had to call them every day for weeks just to dig through the many levels of lies.
Yeah, hit or miss. Used them once for a cash out refi and it went smoothly. Used them again for a simple refi and it took forever. They asked for everything multiple times and went through 3 different loan officers.
This is true. My realtor said if you use big banks like Wells Fargo it actually decreases your value in the eyes of the seller because you could have problems and be delayed
Shop around, and go for the best offer. Everything else, seems like a mess but I have ever heard of anyone not getting a house because bank couldn't close. All works out in the end. You will forget that soon enough, but those few percentage points can be a huge deal in the long run.
I used wells once via the builder. Rate was pretty crappy. Refinanced quickly with one of the credit unions.
I have a local broker I've used several times that has always been good. PM for info if you want it.
They are fine just keep in mind that the rate you get will be significantly higher than the rate they quote.
They are the ones that open up all these accounts for you that you don’t know about so they can get sales commission. 😏
Apply to multiple banks. Multiple mortgage credit checks in a short interval counts as only one pull, so won't damage your credit.
This is correct. Wf also gives lower rates if you have at least 250k or 500k down payments. But definitely talk to at least one other big bank to get a good rate. Bank of America and Wells gave me the same rates so we just competed them on closing costs.
Wells Fargo will probably also open a bunch of fake accounts in your name to make their sales targets
Not these days.
For that kind of investment shop around? I've always had good experiences with them though.
I think you get better rates at Wells Fargo if you have large amounts in a WF account.
