Hi, im refinancing with PNC bank. A bit paranoid coz its a not a big name, atleast I haven’t heard of it. Also, every time I share some attachment (docs) with them over gmail, gmail issues a warning (not sure if it’s a red flag). These guys ask way too many docs particularly related to my HOA compared to what my current lender did while filing the loan. They want my HOA to fill out the lender questionnaire, is it normal?
I refinanced with PNC many years ago, legit bank, probably within the top 10 largest banks in the US. Anyway, I recall going through their refinance process was a pain! Tons of paperwork, but they had the best rate at the time. Can't help you on the HOA question, sorry, but I can confirm the questions and paperwork are ridiculous!
I just refinanced. They ask hella questions compared to the initial note. If you’re not digging their service get a broker and find someone else. GL my dude.
Pnc is a reputed bank especially in East coast....if you ask them a secure link, they send you a secure email to share docs...don't share via plain email
Yes PNC only has 55k employees and is worth only 60 billion dollars, basically a back alley bank...
There are different types of criteria that you can be qualified under. Lenders that immediately sell your loan are the easiest, they just follow Freddie/Fannie guidelines. House made loans that will be held by the bank generally have lots of extra bullshit. It's annoying, but it's often the price of the best loan.
You should only be scared when someone owes you money and not the other way round. If they will pay your earlier mortgage then its all good.
