Curious what kind of hrs are expected of an operations associate at late stage startups like Airbnb, DoorDash, Postmates. Specifically for entry level ops roles (1 yr out of school). Comp figures would be helpful as well. I’m sure it varies but I’m just looking for an idea. Of when one might typically get into and leave the office. Thanks!

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
Something like 9am-6pm with checking emails from home after you leave Entry level ops roles at Uber when I interviewed was base salary $85-90k plus 15% RSU
Thanks! Those hrs seem super reasonable. I keep hearing of long hours for startups but never knew what that meant respectively since most of my friends are in IB working 80-100hr weeks. Would other roles presumably be much longer hrs?
Not sure about other roles tbh. At Tesla, it seems like 9-6 or 9-7 if you take a long lunch is common for most everyone in my office. It’s not that bad. The harder part is having to stay connected via email late into the night.
