In the market for a home but it’s tough to find a house that has a remotely decent facade in the Seattle area. Maybe it’s a matter of taste but it’s as if every house in the PNW are intentionally designed to look so ridiculous. Even McMansions on the east coast look great compared to houses here. Is it just my taste or is there an ugly house epidemic going on?
May be it’s a problem with the price range you are looking at. Everything is just more expensive.
Guilty as charged. It’s a horrible place. Just wait for September- all hell breaks loose then. 8 months of darkness
I can confirm. It’s your taste. Share pics about tour bad taste please.
What a coincidence. I was just browsing through some homes on Redfin/Zillow, it was a struggle to find anything that looked half decent. Just terrible
I'd agree for the price range it kinda sucks
It’s hideous for sure. I like the look of the new builds though. Anything older than 2015 looks bad
These is no red brick house here in Seattle because of the earthquake. Almost all houses in PNW are built by wood, hence they're ugly
Actually there are some red brick houses, some are not even crazy expensive (eg Beacon Hill)
Try filtering newer than the 80s. There are lots of old houses that really just don’t hold up very well. Why they haven’t been bulldozed and rebuilt on? Because that 60s house cost a million already and you’re out of budget for a demo and build.
