Housing in bay area / silicon valley
Im new to the housing scene and im literally shocked with the housing costs in bay area/silicon valley. A small 450 sq ft 1 br condo for 650k! Nothing cheaper than 1.5 mil for a small 3 br 1300 sq ft house. whats the average tc of swe in bayarea so they can afford these prices? Or Do they generally live very far away from work with crazy commute hours? Tc :200k

Bay area is more expensive that any other place in the US. San diego is cheaper.

Look in San Jose north of downtown. A little sweet spot. Schools suck though

Why you want rent forever? Rent very very high
Rent in Bay Area while working and once you move to a better place you buy there. No need to stay in a polluted and crazy traffic place if you don’t work here. You can move to nice sunny San Diego for half the price with much better traffic
