How bad is Capitol One tech right now?

I was going through a hiring process and had an onsite scheduled, but it ended abruptly due to a hiring freeze. Talked to my recruiter today and he said there would be reductions in cyber and the rest of tech. Good luck C1 Blinders ❤️

Pro tip: If you want to look good to a company, spell their name correctly.

I’m surprise a recruiter will share this information out 🤔

ConocoPhillips doom3d OP Jun 17, 2019

Me too. I think maybe he was frustrated so he didn’t give a fuck. He mentioned he is being reassigned but he doesn’t know where yet

Capital One zoezoo Jun 17, 2019

What location did you apply for if you don’t mind me asking?

Autodesk boba415 Jun 17, 2019

I was contacted for a swe job at c1 and the same thing happened to me!

Avoid C1 SF office. Just matter of time they will layoff people and close the office.

I was told by hired.com talent advocate I was gonna be brought in for an on site interview. Few days later I just got the “we decided not to move forward” email from my c1 recruiter, wonder if it’s related, nyc SWE

Autodesk boba415 Jun 18, 2019

Were you in the tdp or something?

Amazon desudesu Jun 18, 2019

You're not missing out.

Samsung chajimogo Jun 19, 2019

Lol 😂. Your hate of C1 is comical. Did you make that?

Bullet: dodged. Move along.

ConocoPhillips doom3d OP Jun 18, 2019

Unfortunately I needed the job to move to a new city for personal reasons.

Amazon desudesu Jun 18, 2019

If it's NYC/SF/Seattle, you simply haven't applied to enough companies. If it's DC or Richmond, then you should simply get over the personal reasons and move somewhere else. The key to high pay is efficiently exploiting the labor market by applying to a fuck load of places and being willing to move long distances across the country.

I hate working here, haha.
