How can i get an interview at AWS?

I have over 7 years of experience as a Linux/Devops engineer. How can i get a interview at AWS for one of the roles related to Linux and or Devops? I have applied to multiple positions online but i never get a call. What am i doing wrong?

Out of hundred or so applications you’ll have 3-4 recruiters back to you and maybe one interview request, hopefully, so you doing it right, keep doing it. Or maybe get a referral

I got a reply from a recruiter literally 10 minutes after applying to a publicly posted AWS position.

Referrals have a better chance of getting interview. I can refer you for a job that you have not already applied to. pm me.

I work in an AWS support hub, though in a different division. Happy to let nice_guy do the referral but I can gather contacts to if needed.

I know a team that's always hiring for people with Linux backgrounds. Non-SDE. They require you to pursue security clearance, though, so that could be a deal breaker. It is for most people.

Why is it a deal braker

Requires citizenship, polygraph, background checks, drug tests, etc.
