How common is an expesive party house living situation? Anyone tried it? How'd you find roommates?

Example: 5 people, 5 bedroom giant fucking house, 10k, only 2k in rent each which means a lot of alcohol and drugs.

Not common because people like to grow out of the dorm culture and have some privacy. As you grow older, your ability to adjust goes down.

Your ability to adjust doesn’t go down as you grow older Your need to adjust goes away. But that isn’t why the situation above isn’t common.....in tech.

I met one sales bro from Amazon who is currently doing this with a group of friends in some penthouse in Cap Hill. It was basically a parody of all the horrible things that can happen when formerly bullied nerds grow up and get rich. Do not recommend.

I literally live this right now. All my roommates work at the same place but we are on different teams. Like Amazon, your experience is dependent on your roommates. When I first moved in one of the roommates would hallucinate us doing things to him and he tried to kill us one time. But he knew alot of people and threw great parties so it was cool Right now the current group gets along well. So now my life is currently the Friends TV show. Also we are all broke so we have something in common I'm older now and on the verge of breaking into FAANG so I'm preparing to move out and enter the next chapter of my life

One of my friends had this situation in SF for years. Big ass party house near the beach, average age was probably 23. The parties were awesome, but I would never have wanted to live there. Like a frat house, there is no escape if you want to keep to yourself.
