New grad here. I'm interested in joining a hw team at an aerospace company. Would love to hear from people who are currently working in aerospace or have done so in the past. How did you end up in your job? Do you enjoy it?
1st Requirement...be a US citizen
Be careful: the big aerospace companies (Boeing for example) mostly outsource their actual on-the-Metal hardware dev to suppliers like Crane, Honeywell, Collins etc. They all have in house HW dev too (like AvionX inside Boeing) but it’s usually for niche work/trade studies, etc But yeah, there’s plenty of work and it’s all interesting. Start collecting references for all your jobs and schools to prep for your clearance application and apply to reqs like mad
Apply online tbh
Same as anyone else... I gave up on my dreams and applied.
Join aerospace if you want to do legacy decades old overpriced technology. If you want to learn latest stuff runaway from aerospace/defense
Speak for yourself
Indeed, You guys are an exception. Kudos for your company...
Just apply? Northrop have new grad reqs open all the time
