    Make the convenience and experience well worth the price. BT traffic was down by half 3 months after Netflix entered Australia.

    It’s controlled. Post dvd release mostly they don’t care. The focus is entirely on preventing a high quality print release pre dvd

    They deal with it by having streaming services. Fewer and fewer people pirate music or video anymore because it’s way easier to get it legally.

    You enforce moderate to severe penalties for infringement whilst minimizing friction for the paying customers. If you look at subscription numbers for e.g. Spotify you'd see that piracy isn't a big deal (and never was).
