Did u already interview at G? Its pretty hard but usually they interview im for a range i.e. L3/4, L4/5, etc. fyi - i doubt they’ll pay as much as fb and linkedin staff even at L5.
Yep I interviewed and passed HC. I have a team that wants to send me an offer today. I'm trying to get that L5 offer though.
What do you think an L5 offer would max out at? Why does anyone go to Google anymore?!
Serious question: Why does anyone go to Google in 2019? Do they offer the best TC for any individual? It seems like they get absolutely blown out of the water.
TC at G is not great anymore for 5 and below. People go there level 3-5 are most likely chasing prestige/wlb. 6 and above are still paying quite good.
I'm wondering if there's really any prestige left. The teams I was matching with are so so so far away from anything cool or valuable. They're like 15 layers away from what matters. I'm blown away that it's so hard to get into this company when the jobs are clerical at best.

Google will low ball. Try and get the Facebook offer at the same time and ask G if they’ll exceed or match. But Facebook moves fast so try to make sure the timelines on both offers are in sync
