Title says it all. We are earning, everything going fine but don't you miss your parents? Is it good to switch to remote job and live with them for some years?
Bring them here or travel to meet them, taking leave without pay is worth it
Skype call
I wish I could bring them here. They can't fly (medical reasons and illnesses) :(
:(
I FaceTime with them almost every single day (since last couple of years). Even if it is just for a quick call. Have also flown back on whims even if itâs just for a week. Totally worth it. Makes you feel the world is smaller and not as big as it looks.
Keep in touch with them and I bring them over once a year and visit them once a year. I canât live together though. Our lifestyles donât match up and we have mutual understanding of our space. I guess we developed that since I was kicked out after 10th back in India đ
What @rackspace said is true. I talk to my parents almost everyday and have been doing so for the past 10+ years since I moved out. I visit them 1-2 time an year, even if it's for a week. From parents' perspective as well, 6 months doesn't look like too long a time to wait for their child to come home as compared to one year. After I book my tickets, it's a matter of counting days for them
Heir unicorn101 ... howâs Axtria recruiter reached out for technical project / program manager
If you are in the early stages of your career, you can join Axtria to learn faster. But if you have significant experience, I wouldn't suggest moving from Sanofi to Axtria. Try other companies like Genentech JnJ Novartis instead. Sanofi is a slow company, good culture, gives you time for family, work is good in only certain teams, but lot of reorgs and layoffs. Axtria is fast moving, you may have offshore calls, work is really good in most teams, and they have been growing fast. You decide based on your priorities. If at all you decide to move, make sure to ask for significant increase in money. They value people joining them from client side.
+1 to @Rackspace I talk to my parents everyday, it's hard to see that they are getting aged but their smile is always flawless. I don't know for some reason I feel that there can't be anyone like parent on Earth forever, I am scared of the thought that one day my call will never reach to them :-( but that's life we've to keep on moving... They are happy if we are happy and they are sad when we are sad so it's better to be happy always with them.. Gosh why we have to come out for job and leave parents back home.. Life is really hard!
Maybe really look into remote jobs. One of my biggest reasons in switching jobs

Google CFO confirms "large-scale" layoffs today (Apr 17)
Bring them here every 6 months, that's what we do, but nothing's better than living with them.
