How does Google get fined for Android by the EU, but not Apple for iOS?

If anything Apple's iOS is an even more of a closed ecosystem and more anti-competitive. What were the EU's considerations when deciding to go after Google only? Any chance Apple is next in their sights?

iOS is only installed on iPhone/iPad but Android is installed on hundreds of different brands of devices.

The issue is not having a monopoly. The issue is exploiting a monopoly in one market to be anti-consumer in another market. I don’t know what google did or didn’t do, but an example would be “if you want Android, you have to use google search.”

Your example does not fit the problem statement you made. Google has monopoly in search, not in mobile OS.
