Can you literally not do anything with it, or are there well established mediums to sell the shares? Stripe seems to pay well, but they also say they have no plans to IPO soon.
Theres the secondary market, but very low liquidity and most of the times you will get a terrible price (30-50% discount, maybe more) for your shares. The reason it is called paper money is because its pretty much worthless until the company IPOs, which may never happen.
Stripe does buybacks yearly. It’s not paper money.
