Need inputs on Amazon Business org before I make decision to join.
Fair
Worst group I have ever worked for in my 15 years career. They had an engineer jump off the building last year because of their bullying and toxic practices. They promoted the manager of the jumper as reward. They are notoriously famous for putting people in PIPs when they decide to leave the org. Their launches have been a complete shitshow and got several JeffB escalations. The middle management are empire builders who lie to each other and the tech VP is an old guy who is completely clueless. Avoid at ALL costs.
FWIW.. I've heard good things about their teams and leadership in Austin. Can't speak for Seattle
Totally agree with the comment above, run away from this group, it’s a toxic environment. I heard teams attrition is huge due to people realizing they were promised promotions and those never happen. It’s the carrot on the stick. Do yourself a favor and join any other org.
Thanks I’ll probably stay away than !!
Wow. But aren't they growing faster than AWS? I'm assuming it's an opportunity to join at the ground floor, no?
Do not join amazon business. Growing fast but under resourced and bad leadership. Very toxic, quit after a few months
Cannot stress enough the word “TOXIC” here. Managers are just plain goddamn awful (specially those indian transplants).
Haha....I heard these Indian transplants just want to go to India for the reason to meet team on office expenses!! That’s so sad
Yup. They get a free trip home to “meet the team” - and obviously taking vacations to see the family (sometimes without reporting them)
A LOT of people from MSFT and indian transplants in that org’s leadership. Terrible mix.

Wouldn't you have better sample size of feedback if you asked this question internally? Or are you worried that the people won't be upfront about it internally?
OP gets access to people that work at other companies that used to work in his requested org, in addition to amazon people by using the tag.
