How is Rubrik compared to FANGs ?

I see many Indians from IITs working at Rubrik. I have an onsite interview call. Wondering whether the onsite is worth the time. How does it compare with FANGs ? Does it pay well ? Does it have top talent ? Currently E5 at FB, 360k TC

I donā€™t even know wtf Rubrikā€™s pay range is. Most of the engineers I see there on LinkedIn are from tier 2 companies EMC, Veritas etc. donā€™t think itā€™s worth it Why would you leave Google for that crap ?

This is a very informative thread. I took it as a negative that Rubrik folks held back sharing equity ranges. Numbers from other Pre-IPO companies are out there on blind, then why make an excuse of undeterministic price.

Base and bonus ranges are comparable to Google/Facebook. Equity grants at this point factor in a super successful IPO.

By what factor does the current valuation of Rubrik ($3.3b) need to increase for equity to match GOOG/FB? We can use the following yardstick for offers: L6 gets $1m equity at time of joining. Many people put a conversion multiple of 1.3 for paper money.. so $1.3m for pre IPO companies.

As a place to work, it's a mixed bag, like every place is. Lot of energy and attempts to be "high velocity", but generally lacking solid engineering practices. Lots of individual heroics that keep the place afloat. Experienced candidates tend to find it hard to establish themselves in existing teams since individual velocity is the primary metric. Most managers and tech-leads are first timers who joined Rubrik earlier than you and generally lack a wider perspective. And yet, it's better than most places in the valley.
