I'm planning to lease an apartment which is near West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station. I will be commuting to SF atleast 4 days a week. How easy/difficult it is to find a seat during rush hours (7:30-9:30AM)? Should I consider leasing an apartment near Dublin/Pleasanton BART station instead? TC: 250k
Fremont is bad too
West dublin/pleasanton is second station on the line so there is still chance to find an empty seat. But, depending on which station you on board on return trip it’s very difficult to get into bart, leave alone finding seat. For example, if you are getting on Bart from powel station or embarcardero then no chance finding an empty seat during rush hour. Also, not sure if you want to sit. The seats are pretty nasty and sometimes smells bad.
east bay is for plebians
You’ll have better luck on the first or last train carts. It’s also a long 40+ min ride though.
730 - 8 is no problem, 8-9 is crowded, 9+ is hit and miss.
Do a google map search of the apartment you want and check the public transit system. You can also bike to BART or use the bus system. Check the Livermore Transit Authority provides bus & paratransit service throughout Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore & surrounding unincorporated areas of Alameda County. Many apartments can be easily reached by bus to and from Dublin or Pleasanton BART stations.
Try Oakland or Fremont instead
Is Dublin that bad?
Yeah it's pretty bad
