Not in my org. The recent event is definitely not a good news, but it happened way in the past and the new executive is taking swift steps to address that.
Yeah, started interviewing again, so many lies in this company
Can you elaborate more?
Yes, it is disheartening and impacts morale. That is because there are thousands of talented, hard working and good people at Uber who believe in what they are building. They are frustrated that the bad behavior of a few has been undermining the great work of many. Overall, the company is glad that this behavior will not be tolerated anymore. I think it may be too early to know how it is impacting recruiting. But, things will turn around because we have a good many people fighting for it. The opportunity is still enormous and there are plenty of talented people.
Morale yes, talent acquisition / retention no. Those of us who’ve been through 2017 have a different perspective on things. It’s been a learning experience to say the least. Some have left when things started to sound bad. Some were asked to go. And others have left along the way which would have left anyway. However, those of us who stayed are busy building a better company. Pace of interviewing is back at peak level. We’re going to be fine.
Uber is the equivalent of the Trump administration-everyday a new dumpster fire.
I would think that morale would be suffering bcuz the SoftBank deal shows a big decrease in true valuation.
Softbank is creating an opp for anybody who wants to cash out. That's it. Yes it is discounted because it is linked to the board expansion . Softbank is a shrewd investor and can see the upside.
