Would like to know how's work culture overall and for someone working on backend
Depends on the team. Some can be doing boring stuff. But def quite a handful doing awesome work
In terms of work culture, i think engineering is non toxic in general
Grab depends on their offline team (business/marketing/sales) to survive. Engineering is shit there. It's a miracle they lasted so long.
What is the grab culture? Physically harassing grabbing!?!?!?
Definitely not. Grab is personally very respectful and values-led. I worked there for years and have no heard of anything I'd consider harassing or questionable in that way. CEO, co-founder, head of HR, etc. are all very values oriented and have low tolerance for treating people poorly. That does *not* mean anything about the quality of work, decision making, or code, but in terms of really negative shit, you're more than fine.
Is it me or is the hiring process horrible for Grab?
Why would you want to live on a tiny island.
Bcos after US this is only place :P
The office is cool. Marina one high end sky scrape
