Probably the same as every other bank/finance company.
Honestly it’s really chill, at least on my team. Nothing like BoA (know a few people who work there)
Like most places, it depends on the team and manager. I found the culture to be very cutthroat. They are proud of a difficult hiring process but will fire people at the drop of a hat. If you’re VP level, you’re on borrowed time. They get fired all the time. Often, poor technology choices are overlooked because a manager is good and hiding technical debt to make the timeline look good. They like to say “we are a software company who is in the banking industry” but they are in no way comparable to true software companies. The biggest pro is that high margins mean nice perks. Nicer than most other companies but not as nice as FAANG
Varies drastically between locations, business units, projects, etc.
Full of contractors...
Morale is a little higher than Bank of America, mostly because we don't have to cringe every time someone asks "what's BofA?"
We work after office hours, and occasionally on weekends too. Performance management is a challenge. Build as much network as you can right from the time you join if you plan to join.
Team here is a lot more chill than my BoA team was. More tech-oriented in general but still not as good as an actual tech company.
