How late is too late to get into FAANG or MSft?
I am 33 year old guy with 10 years of experience as Technical developer for ERP software called Msft Dynamics AX . I spent all my life on languages like X++(OOPS based similar to c++).My job is getting repetitive and boring looking for a career change. Is it too late for me learn MI or AI related programming? I always worked for clients or customers in manufacturing industry where IT is not a priority. I want to change that. I am married with no kids. Also,where do I start? What is the metric that tells if I can ever crack FAANG? Reasons for career change Boredom,TC ,Midwest, Challenge. TC: 125/ 10K bonus/15% salary towards 401K without any requirement for employee match.
Nope you're good. We don't hire based on age, in fact when I applied my CV never had my age or birthday in it and no one asked. The first time they got to know my age was the passport submission for contract prep and that was all after the onsite. Just prepare and do your best, good luck!

Yep! Depends on the country though. My point is Google doesn't care and you can omit it and still get through. If they cared they could just ignore my application and avoid the risk of me being of "unwanted age" right? (because they can't ask in UK for example). But they didn't.

leetcode. Please solve ~400 problems. Trust me, it’s hard, it’s boring, but solve 400 problems. You will be unstoppable.

Cracking those companies is fairly easy. Just leetcode. No, it has nothing to do with actually being a good engineer Deal with it and play the game.

Bookmark threads like this. I'm 30 trying to get in. Get an interview prep book so you understand the whole process (more than just Leetcode, the interview format etc). Cracking the code interview is the bible. Don't get discouraged if you don't get offered, prep more and try again when the cool down expires
