How long does the green card process takes for someone not from a backlog country?

One of my friends got GC in 10months. It took me about 8years, thanks to 9/11 and two amnesties of illegals.
Wait what does that have to do with it? I thought you get it within 3 years if you are not from India or China?
USCIS has a backlog. It gets a bunch of new people in backlog after amnesty and pretty much stops processing for some time, then moves some officers to process these new cases. The rest slows down or gets priority date changed.
Got mine in 6 months in 2012. Crazy how those things changed.

The whole process started on July 2016 and did not get the green card yet. We are in the AOS(Adjustment of Status) process now.

Same. Final stretch hopefully. Have I-140 approved and per USCIS my I-485 is currently being processed. Horrible frustrating process though!

Check trackitt.com. I've applied last July and just got my interview invite in March. If everything works out I should have it after around 9 months.
2 year. May be 3 years now with mandatory AOS interview. A responsive law firm can help cut that down a bit
