Had an interview last Friday and anxiously waiting to hear back from the recruiter with any feedback. Hoping they’re not ghosting either. I also understand it’s only been less than a week so my anxiety is getting the best of me. What’s the typical wait period before receiving feedback and/or an accept/reject notice?
Oh but to answer your question. A week is a fine amount of time to reach out. I think it’s actually good to reach out anyway - you won’t look desperate at all, just on top of your shit.
Be it that it’s only been less than a week, I’ll prolly reach out this Friday
If I were you (and I’m actually in a very similar boat), I’d ping your recruiter tomorrow. Nothing happens on Fridays. Your ping is just to light a little fire under the recruiters butt to get feedback from interviewers. So I’d send your email Thursday morning.
It was a holiday week last week though. Might just take some extra days.
i’m in a similar situation...had final onsite on may 22nd and i followed up last week. recruiter said she’ll get back this week and nothing yet. hopefully tomorrow or else i’ll followup again on friday
Ugh that would kill me. It’s like the longer the wait, the more I feel like I didn’t get the job.

As a recruiter let me say this. It’s always okay to reach out to your recruiter. You likely won’t come across as over-eager (cuz trust me, I know that same fear). But, even if you did, it’s not like the recruiter had any say at that point to be like “hey, this candidate is desperate, let’s decline.” No - the recruiter wants you to succeed. And if the recruiter sucks, it’s WAY MORE about them being a sucky recruiter than about you as a candidate. I apologize on behalf of all recruiting professionals.
