Hey folks, Thanks a lot for making my previous post (LRU Cache - Are u f*** kidding me !!) a hot topic on Blind lol. When I started LC, I used to do 5-6 questions per day. As I get into the toughest medium and towards hard, I find it kinda overwhelming to do 3 questions every day, besides the 150+ previously done that I need to keep periodically reviewing (say 1-2 reviewed per day). So what was your experience ? How many LC per day you judge reasonable to really grasp the intuition/technique behind every question ? TC: None
I timed myself and I can do most easy in 2-3 minutes - so 10-15/hour. Mediums take ~5-10 minute - usually can do 5-7/hour. Hard from 10 min to could not figure it out without reading solution. I did competitive programming in school and solving tricky tasks is fun. Not looking for new job - just doing it for fun from time to time.
You can write the algorithm on whiteboard or code that passes all test cases and desired complexity?
Code on computer that passes all test cases on Leetcode with desired complexity for easy/medium. Sometimes (rarely) I get complexity wrong obviously. Hard sometimes I can figure out very quickly and sometimes get stuck.
lol y’all are crazy. 150+ LC? 3-6 a day?? why kill yourself like this? i did like 3 a week for a few weeks. then just line up your interviews from least favorite to favorite company (roughly) so you get more in practice for the ones that matter more. this is why i don’t come on blind so much these days, i start getting stressed out seeing what others do... life balance matters
Those are the ones I did over past 3 months I mean
yeah, i understand. you’re normal ish for blind. just crazy for me. i did 10 LC total for my last job search. just like to offer a data point for other lurkers who are less intense, it’s ok to live life more chill lol
