I am at 159, Onsites coming in 2 weeks
You could do 800 questions and it would still be meaningless if you are not learning the tricks and spotting the patterns
^this
0, turned them down
I think there's about 17 patterns to learn.
That's an odd count, do you mind sharing the list/doc?
Following . Please share. Thanks a ton
It's not about how many you have solved but how many you can solve. Know the basics data structures and algorithm that you would get in any cs major and you will be fine
Not about the number, just learning how to think through any problem you are asked based on what you know about CS. I have a bachelor's, read EPI and did maybe LC 20-30 problems for practice. Received offers at FB, G, MSFT, Uber. Going to Uber.
Did you finish EPI in its entirety? Or one of those 2/3 week plans?
IIRC I used the 2 week plan as a guide but did a few extra problems in each chapter. After reviewing a few times, I'd gone through most problems that they walk you through except for the hard section at the end
More leetcoding does not guarantee you getting into F/G. It largly depends on your intelligence (problem solving skills) and luck.
Completely agree. However I think ~200 standard questions (mostly medium/hard) are required to assimilate most of the problem types. In Google perhaps it's more problem solving and luck, but in FB one is on a time gun. It's important there to have an idea of the problem style beforehand to quickly churn out a solution
“Intelligence” 😝 It’s just luck and getting problems you’ve solved before.
