As the title explained the question, the recruiter said, the base in the region of 100K-120K, is it enough for Boston. Sorry can't mention the company. Also, I am fresh out of school with 2 years of SE experience pre-PhD. Edit: I could also negotiate for Senior Research Scientist title but with same pay.
Can't help w/o the company name
Major online retail from far east asia.
250k
Shukria, Gracias, Thank you, Meherbani
Low-ball offer. I am guessing is either coupang or Alibaba, both can pay much better. If you actual ML experience 150-200k base should be possible
Ph.D in reinforcement learning.
Move to NYC (hft) or SF (tech). Don’t bother with Boston.
Make money get money get cash baby!!!
Three fiddy
Can you please elaborate?
Is it my company? If so, you'll be in the research institute which pays _far_ more than the rest of us working stiffs. In HQ they start at 5-6MM yen and I've heard $75k+ in Boston.
75k 😂😂. Are you kidding? A Phd should fetch him 175k
Not at Rakuten, it won't. The natural language processing position I applied for, which is in Boston, pays about 75k, and there was also an internship for PhD students which paid 250k yen ($2300) per month. I suspect Apple pays far more than these figures - but here we still have no shortage of qualified applicants. I love this field and would gladly have done it for even less -- but there were many more talented people ahead of me.
That is like homeless money in Boston
